‘Crossbar' is the story of 1976 Olympic bronze-medalist Aaron Kornylo. He is favored to win the gold in high-jump in 1980 until a tragic farming accident costs him his left leg.

Katie Barlow, Aaron's friend and fellow athlete understands his suffering. With her singled-minded determination she is able to draw Aaron out of his hopeless state of self-pity and inspires him to do the impossible; to pursue his athletic goal to qualify for the 1980 Olympics.
